Sales is a really tough racket, a grizzled veteran of the commercial arts told me over a drink or two quite recently.
Anyone who has pounded the pavement knows the merit of his point. Small business owners know that imagining making thousands of sales is a heck of a lot more enjoyable than the legwork it takes to go out and get them.
Fortunately, Maximizer Enterprise 2000 v5.5 has been released, continuing the franchise's strong line of sales and contact organizing software. It has some nifty new features and the same impressive interface of previous editions. Making sales is tough, but a program like Maximizer can help take away some of the pain.
At its core, Maximizer Enterprise is a lot like Microsoft Outlook, but it is specifically tailored for salespeople. The program combines contact, calendar and network management with e-mail and many sales-centric components. Maximizer Enterprise is designed to assist and chart the sales process, boasting an expansive array of reporting options and easily manipulated contact information screens that optimize the process. Its components go beyond just charting the process to actively assisting salespeople.
For optimal use, Maximizer Enterprise requires complete entry of every aspect of the sales process. Make a phone call to a client and log it, along with keywords about the substance of the conversation. Interested in selling 400 widgets to ABC
Incorporated? Log the opportunity first and then track each and every step in the program. Maximizer Enterprise will keep tabs on your sales process. The next time you have 400 widgets to sell, it will remind whether ABC Incorporated did or did not buy them. That'll save you the trouble of sitting down two years later and trying to manually establish the ideal contact base.
Maximizer Enterprise is also invaluable if you are running a bigger operation. It specifically includes a network component that allows you to keep track of your sales team and their efforts without demanding printed out reports.
Mind you, aside from the network options, a computer-savvy individual with a word processor, Internet access, a spreadsheet, a database and a copy of Microsoft Outlook can duplicate all of this. But it's more trouble to run your sales through so many different programs and the price ($149 US) makes Maximizer Enterprise definitely affordable.
Reviewer's rating: 4 / 5
Comments: Maximizer Enterprise comes through once again with a standard in contact and sales organization. The screen, however, does get a little cluttered.
Price: $149.00 US / $225 Canadian
