Question: How do you back up the address book in Outlook Express 6.0?

Answer: There’s an easy way to do it with this program.

Or if you want to do it manually here are the instructions. (For instructions for OE 5.x, and instructions for OE 4 .0.)

Open Outlook Express (OE) and click “File” then “Export” then choose “Text File (Comma Delimited)” and click OK. You will be prompted to name the address book file. Save it to a safe place on your computer. It will be saved as a CSV file (comma separated value file). When you want to reimport the address book into OE later choose the “File” menu then “Import” then “Address Book”.
