This page contains all the updates that Windows 95 users need, including the files below.

Windows 95 service pack 1

This is an update to Windows 95 that includes fixes, system administration tools, additional components, and drivers. Install this if you have version 4.00.095. To check on your machine's version click on the START button and then Settings and then Control Panel. Double click the "System" icon. The version number is under the "General" tab. After theinstall the machine will report version 4.00.095a. This update is not for you if you have any other Windows 95 version.

Kernel 32 update

This is a fix for a "memory leak" that's caused when you connect to the Internet with Windows 95. If after being on-line for a while your system regularly crashes, install this.

VERY IMPORTANT: Do not install this update on the English Pan European version of Windows 95 or any other non-English version of Windows 95. ALSO, do not install a machine with Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR 2) with version number 4.00.950b. Also, don't install this on a Windows 98 machine.
