The
one great thing about digital music is that it fits in tiny
memory chips. So it's no surprise that a product like the
RCA Kazoo has arrived.
It's a matchbox-sized digital music player,
not much thicker than a sandwich that has enough memory
to store about eight songs (or 32 megabytes worth of digital
music).
These can be MP3 music files or Microsoft's
WMA files. The device comes with an armband and plastic
case that can be strapped to a wrist or arm. Though the
device easily fits in a breast pocket as well.
The player also has a tiny slot for a MultiMedia
storage card, which is sold separately. It can store additional
data. The largest card available has 128 Mb of storage,
enough room for about 32 songs.
The K@zoo runs on two triple A batteries.
It also connects to a computer for music transfer via a
USB connector, available on most computers built since 1998.
The device is quite amazing. It comes highly recommended.
Price: $199.99 CDN and $149.99 US
