| The
RCA Digital Voice Recorder is one of those devices you wish you had when
you have that million dollar idea in traffic. Its also useful if
you need to remember to buy cabbage.
The device is an audio recorder that stores sound on a four megabyte SmartMedia
card that slips into a slot on the top of its silver plastic case.
Since there are no moving parts, it eliminates the chance of mangling
the audio tape that voice memo gagdets traditionally use as a storage
media.
Voice memos can be sorted and stored in up to 99 different digital folders
on the card. Of course the card is removable so it can be used to transfer
the digital audio files to a computer for safe keeping if you have a compatible
card reader.
It also features a voice activated recording setting. Theres also
a headphone and microphone jack in the 2.56 x 4.33 x 0.71 inch gadget.
The RCA Digital Voice Recorder uses two triple A batteries, however the
sliding cover that holds these in does not seat well in the gizmos
base. Sometimes it pops open and then youre crawling around on the
floor to find the darn things.
