The Palm m125 is the kind of handheld computer that you'd want if you can't afford the high-end $300-$400 US / 450 to $600 Cdn Palm computers, but don't want to buy the entry-level devices either.

The m125 is affordable but also has two new technologies onboard normally found on higher price models.

First, it has an SD - or Secure Digital -- port for postage stamp sized storage cards and add-on devices. This is where a wireless modem will plug in when it comes available into the New Year. Previously, only the Palm m500 and m505 devices offered this feature.

It also has the new universal connector port so that it can connect to any computer cradle or expansion sleeve designed for the more expensive models.

It's also quite stylish with a two-tone silver and black faceplate and a soft flip cover. The gizmo uses two AAA batteries and includes 8MB of memory. If you've had a handheld computer before and are ready for something slightly more sophisticated, this device is for you.

Price: $379 Cdn / $249 US.
