When
you're out there in the wilderness, it useful to have a
whole lot of tools to make your life more comfortable.
The Jeep TV Lantern is all about that. It's the Swiss Army
knife of gadgets. The device is indeed a lantern, but it
has a black and white television mounted in it, so you won't
miss important camping programs like Survivor and Temptation
Island.
The lantern also has a very fun device that emits a whine
that is supposed to drive away mosquitoes, and will surely
drive away your honeybunny. It also has a built-in compass
and thermometer. There's also a radio to tune-in news, weather
and music.
Heck, the gadget even has a clock, a neon light, a flasher
and a siren. The 18 lb device is about the size of a jumbo
box of Corn Flakes. It's not ideal for backpackers, but
perhaps if you're Jeeping you can stash it in the trunk.
The knobs are a little less rugged then they should be
and oddly, you can't turn the radio and the lantern on at
the same time. It comes with a car adapter, an AC power
cable and has a built in rechargeable battery.
