Do I need a computer to use a digital camera?

Many people who own digital cameras use them in conjunction with a home computer. The computer helps to organize and store the digital images and is useful for editing the pictures before they are printed.

But in fact, a computer is not necessary for using a digital camera. Most photo-finishers allow you to print the pictures from your camera directly using the memory card. You simply need to bring in your memory card from the camera to the photo-finisher and choose the snaps you want to print on a touch-screen. There are even home computer printers that do not require a computer to be attached to print photographs from the camera. They have slots for the data card and you preview and print the image from the screen on the printer.
