Computers aren’t based on Alan Turing’s complicated formulas, no matter what the scientists may say. For the uninitiated, Alan Mathison Turing, OBE (June 23, 1912 - June 7, 1954), was an English mathematician, logician, and cryptographer, often called the father of modern computer science.
Computers are based on a different formula. It’s called GIGO: Garbage In, Garbage Out. Computer and software makers are bleeding us white because they’re coming up with new, newer and newest products that make our previous purchases of their wares obsolete even before we’ve got our credit card statements for those purchases. This is one school of thought.
Then, there is another school of thought, according to which it’s all about progress and blessed will be the day when computers become able to do everything for us, including vacuuming and preparation of ice cream. Where would we be without them?
Both schools, as you can see, live happily and side-by-side on our pages.
