By default, when dragging a file from one folder to another in Windows Explorer, the action moves it.
If you want to copy a file, hold down the Ctrl key while dragging.
If you drag a file with the right mouse button, you'll get a list of options when you let go "” you can move, copy, or even create a shortcut.
