Question: I am considering upgrading my PC, and would like to know how to transfer and/or copy files from my current computer to the new one. I know I’ll need cables and a software package, but I have no idea about what is required to effect such tasks with minimal or no risk of losing/damaging the files being transferred. - B.D.
Answer: One great solution I’ve found is FastMove 2000. It's a one-click solution that allows you to hook two computers together via their parallel ports (i.e., printer ports) with a cable that is included with the software.
It costs about $45 US for the package and is available from many computer stores.
I found it online, too. You can get it from Amazon.com.
